SUNSHINE: To
Chuck Epperson who is down with bronchitis, hope you feel better soon.
Also, much sunshine to Jerry Fenster, Jerry had heart valve surgery, our
prayer's are with you. And to all those who have had bad colds, the flu
and the nasties, in general, much SUNSHINE.
FROM YOUR
EDITOR: What a wonderful time we all had at
the Snowman's Dance. Even though attendance was down this year we still
had a great dance. Thank you Lynne for all your hard work in
organizing this event. Also our President, along with Lynne, wants to
thank the many volunteers that made the dance possible. Without your help
and support we would not be able to have such a wonderful and successful
dance. Due to the weather, this year, the Dudes & Daisies have had to
cancel several workshops as well as meetings. Hopefully the bad weather
is behind us and we can get on with the fun things in life, like square
and round dancing. "We love our snow, but it's time to release it and let
it go". Think for a moment. What is it that you like to do? If the
answer is square/round dance then you can take my challenge and play a big
part in making our club a hugh success? Take this opportunity to decide
how much time and effort you can give to the club. Maybe there are
certains things you can do and others that you can't do. In order to
spread the volunteer work around, I ask that you take a minute and
write the things you can/can't do then e-mail your list to me or one of
the other officers. By volunteering you will not only be doing good for
the club but you will be doing good for yourself. We all feel better by
giving of ourself's and by giving of yourself, to your club, OUR CLUB WILL
BE A SUCCESS. Thank you, Jeannie
FROM THE PRESIDENT'S DESK:
Oops, I'm finally getting the hang of things, like getting my information
to Jeannie in time for the newsletter. I wanted to thank those who
attended the dance at the Wayside Inn, in January, but missed the February
newsletter so here we are in March. Although there were only 3 of us
Dudes & Daisies, Tom, Carmen and I, we had great participation from the
Circle N Squares. Special thanks to them and the Dudes & Daisies who
attended, making this demostration a success. The group was ready to give
square dancing a try and there were 3 full squares dancing most of the
time. Dean REALLY took them fast and they had a ball. The dance was a
good promotional event. On another note, the Saturday Night Old Timers
Reunion came off without a hitch. Weather wise it was touch and go which
had a slight impact on attendance but the dancers that attended had a
great time. We danced a little, had lots of great food and played a game
that Scotty had brought. We had a barrell of fun with the game as well as
the dance. It was great to see those Old Timers again.
